The iOS number looks strict at first glance, so here is what it actually covers. iOS 16 runs on the iPhone 8 and everything newer — every iPhone sold from 2017 onward. Only the iPhone 7 and older sit outside it, and for those the website works in Safari with the same account and the same cashier.
And it is worth keeping the whole thing in proportion. Android accounts for 87.67% of phones in the Philippines and iOS for 12.32% (Statcounter, July 2026). Nearly nine players in ten here are on Android, where the app comes from the operator’s own page and the iOS version number does not apply at all.
